At the start of International conference for peace talk, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani offered the legitimate political identification to the Taliban insurgent groups. On Wednesday President offered a peace talk with Taliban on the basis of mutual interests to end the 16 years long war within the territory of Afghanistan.
However, in past few months Taliban had offered peace dialogues to the President Donald Trump, President Ghani offered dialogues following the signals of willingness from both ends, Pro-American government and Taliban groups. President Ghani also offered cease fire and the release of prisoners from both sides.
President Ghani also offered the review of constitution as part of pact with Taliban. So far Taliban have refused the direct dialogues with Afghan government. About two years Pakistan has played he mediator’s role in series dialogues between Kabul government and Taliban, but these dialogues ended with noTaliban The Stakeholder, Recognition offered by President Ashraf Ghani gains.
The statement by President Ghani proves a significant change in Kabul’s policy towards Taliban, in past Kabul government usually called Taliban Terrorist and Rebels to rule of law.Now at international conference which attended by dignitaries from 25 countries around the world President Ghani said “The government offers peace negotiations to the Taliban without any conditions,”.
The Taliban are the important element of Afghan society, they started to influence people, when Jihad was launched against USSR Invasion in Afghanistan. In these times they were backed by CIA directly but later on after the incident of 9-11 the relations between US and Taliban, when they were ouster by NATO forces in 2001. After that they are fighting for restoration of Islamic Rule in Afghanistan.
Last Year US has started providing military assistance to the Afghan forces and had launched several airstrikes on Taliban occupied areas, US forces said that strategy has hit Taliban very hard, despite of the fact that Taliban are still occupying more than half of the Afghanistan.
