UAE Will Now Grant "CITIZENSHIP" To Investors And Professionals, According To New Amendment In Law

  The United Arab Emirates (UAE) reported it is opening a way to citizenship for certain foreigners, however it is indistinct if new visa holders will profit by this framework.  Dubai ruler and UAE Prime Minister Sheik Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum on Saturday said "investors, professionals and experts including scientists, doctors, engineers, craftsmen, inventors and their families" would be qualified for naturalization under the new amendment to the citizenship law.  "The UAE bureau, nearby emiri courts and chief boards will name those qualified for the citizenship under clear measures set for every class," he said. CM Punjab Shehbaz's Vision For Development, Inspired London Mayor


CM Punjab Shehbaz Shareef is known for his versatile vision towards the infrastructure of the Province. In his two tenures as CM Punjab he has changed the out look of the provincial Capital Lahore and other big cities of the province, by making cities signal free and metropolitan.

During his visit to Pakistan in start of December last year London Mayor Sadiq Khan received a very worm and enthusiastic welcome at his entrance in Pakistan through Wagha border Lahore. Here he met CM Shehbaz Shareef and had a long meeting with him.

Without any doubt Punjab Government has spend a huge amount on development projects whether it’s about education, Scholarships, entrepreneurship, Metro transportation projects or mega energy projects. This visionary development by Shehbaz Shareef had let London Mayor to be inspired by him.

In London during his interview Sadiq Khan has said “I had a very good meeting with Shahbaz Sharif. I was very impressed with his vision and his hospitality,” It was Sadiq Khan’s official visit to Pakistan after winning election against Zac Goldsmith with huge margin. During his stay in Pakistan Mayor visited different cities including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad. 

Sadiq Khan is a son of British Pakistani bus driver, he had been a part of labour government of Gordon Brown. He served as minister of state for communities and minister of state for transport in 2008.

Acknowledging the efforts of CM Punjab Mayor also said that “Lots of very young people who are very ambitious and what a successful city and country need is ambition and I was very impressed with the ambition of Lahore, Punjab and Pakistan. I am looking forward to a relationship between London and Pakistan going from strength to strength.”

Appreciating the Pakistani Government efforts Mayor Said “When I went to Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi, I saw for myself the progress that has been made over the last few years. It’s important to make sure that there is security and stability and secondly there are more good links between London and Pakistan: business links, cultural links an educational links. It’s very important.” 

Mayor said that he is also looking forward for Pakistan’s coming local elections and he’s hopeful that elections will be free and fair “There will be elections taking place in Pakistan soon. I was an international observer to the last elections in Pakistan (in 2013). It’s very important that these elections are free and fair and I wish best of luck to all the candidates.”

Mayor took delegations of 100 companies with him to both countries India and Pakistan. He said “The key message for me was that London is open; London is open to talent, to people, to creative and to Pakistanis too”

Mayor also expressed that his visit to Pakistan was “very successful”.
